Heyy, so I had this delicious after school snack today. I was craving something like a smoothie or some sort of drink since I came home very thirsty! This definitely hit the spot haha. This recipe is not mine but I was thinking of making something similar for a while so I thought why not? It’s very low-carb and low-fat if that’s what you are going for and its super delicious. Try it out!
15-16 small ice cubes
3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 heaping tbsp cocoa powder ( or 2 tbsp if you wish..you can never have too much chocolate!)
1 scoop of your favourite vanilla protein powder (I used french vanilla designer whey, it blends beautifully.)
1 heaping 1/4 tsp of xanthan powder (This is what makes the shake like a frosty! I highly recommend it).
3-4 drops stevia extract or another sweetener to taste. (Alternatively you could use 1/4-1/2 banana to sweetener the shake).
1/4 tsp vanilla extract (the original recipe didn’t call for this but I think it adds a little something 🙂 )
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth and frothy. Add additional ice cubes if necessary. Enjoy with a thick straw or spoon!
