I guess I am in a tropical mood lately because here is another recipe that brings me back to my vacation every time I take a sip! It’s absolutely amazing. Possibly my favourite new protein shake! This is soo rich and creamy, if I could I would drink at least 2-3 cups of this stuff haha. It’s that good! Here’s how you can make it too!
-5-6 small ice cubes
-1/2 a large ripe frozen banana
-1/3-1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
-2-3 large tbsp of coconut cream (For this I had some frozen in a small ice cube tray and some still in my fridge so I used 1 ice cube and 1 large tbsp of the stuff from the fridge).
-3/4-1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used the PVL brand, it’s awesome)
-1/2-1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond (depending on how thick you want your shake)
-1 small drop of coconut extract
-1/8 tsp vanilla
Directions: Place the ingredients into the blender in the order listed to avoid having protein powder getting stuck at the bottom of the blender. Add your almond milk last until it reaches a consistency you like then add your extracts to taste. Pour into a large glass and garnish with fresh pineapple(mine wasn’t ripe yet!) and a sprinkle of shredded coconut. Now close you eyes, take a sip and imagine yourself back on a beach in the Caribbean! Enjoy! 😉
