I have eaten this breakfast for the last week and it keeps me full & tastes awesome. It has everything including, high protein, healthy carbs & fats(although you can leave them out if you want) all in 1 giant bowl! No more skimpy bowls of cereal and skim milk, this is what you should be eating! Hope you all like it.
You can easily prepare this the night before & it only takes minutes!
1/3 cup dry quick oats (or rolled)
1/2 scoop good quality vanilla protein powder(I highly, highly recommend the trutein brand in any flavour! This stuff is amazing!)
1/2 cup 0% plain greek yogurt
2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 tsp vanilla (more or less to taste)
1/4 tsp cinnamon (more or less to taste)
Optional: Sweetener such as stevia/splenda but taste first. My protein powder sweetens everything enough already.
Toppings(again optional but strong recommended!): 1 tbsp mixed peanuts & walnuts with 2 tbsp sugar-free syrup or any fruit you’d like!
Directions: Prepare in advance(night before). Combine all four first ingredients in a medium size bowl until well mixed(no protein powder clumps) then add the vanilla & cinnamon. Cover with saran wrap and place in the fridge overnight. In the morning all you have to do is top with whatever you want and enjoy! That’s it!
*Note: Don’t worry about the mixture looking like soupy batter the night before, it will be much thicken in the morning due to the oats softening and absorbing the almond milk!*
