Good morning! I hope you guys are having an awesome Monday!
Okay, who am I kidding, Monday's are never awesome..But overnight Apple Cinnamon Bun oats are!
I hope this recipe brightens up your day as it did for mine 🙂 its simple and quick because everything is done the night before.
It may not look perfect but the taste makes up for that. 😉
Ingredients:
-1/4 cup quick oats ( or rolled)
-1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt mixed with vanilla extract and splenda to taste.(or store bought but note the sugar will increase)
-1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
-1/3 cup milk of choice ( I used 1% milk but you could also use almond milk)
-1 tsp cinnamon
Optional: raisins(would be delicious!!), nuts(I used almonds but walnuts or pecans would be good!, pure maple syrup or sugar-free syrup)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a mason jar or thermos and shake to combine. Place in fridge overnight and enjoy in the morning!!
* feel free to not sweeten the yogurt if you like a more tangy flavor
