Keto Birthday Cake Balls are an easy low carb dessert that the whole family (including picky kids) will love!
I know everyone else would likely call these Keto Birthday Cake Fat Bombs…
But I just always hated the name “Fat Bomb” so I've stuck with balls in all of my recipes, lol.
These are honestly one of the simplest keto desserts you'll ever make. If you are baking challenged, then this recipe is for you.
You can't burn it because there is no cooking involved so don't worry, you've got this.

For the dry ingredients in this recipe, you simply need some almond flour, powdered sweetener of choice (I use a powdered monkfruit/erythritol blend), xanthan gum (optional) a pinch of salt and some sugar free sprinkles.
Almond flour is your best option for this recipe because it's got the best flavour and taste when it comes to no bake desserts BUT coconut flour can also be used and I've added some tips below on how to substitute it because it won't be a 1:1 swap.
Powdered Monkfruit/Erythritol Sweetener is my favourite in no bake desserts as I mention below, because it just blends so well and has a great flavour. I use it in almost all of my recipes for this reason.
Next the xanthan gum's purpose is to give the dough a slight “chew” and it just gives the dough a soft and smooth texture BUT it is not necessary to make these. You can totally still make this recipe if you don't have it.
The Sugar Free Sprinkles in this recipe are made by a company called “Stoka Nutrition“.
These sprinkles are great to have on hand, especially if you have kids in the family. Sprinkles make any dessert better!
Thankfully, they were kind enough to give me a 20% OFF discount to share with you guys if you do decide to try them or any of their other products (I did a full review of their product line HERE if you are interested).
Use the code SAMMYSAM at checkout to apply the discount.
For this recipe you'll also need some cream cheese, some vanilla extract and almond extract.
The cream cheese creates an awesome no bake keto cake batter that's easy to roll into balls and the extracts help give it the birthday cake flavour we all know and love!
Overall, these keto cake bites or cake balls or keto birthday cake fat bombs..whatever you want to call them, make a perfect quick and easy dessert that I'm sure you'll enjoy!

Tips For Making Keto Birthday Cake Balls
- If you find your dough is too dry to roll into balls, just add an extra 1/2 – 1 tbsp of softened cream cheese.
- You can also make these cake balls using half softened butter and half cream cheese for more of a buttery cake flavour.
- If you really want to make these fun for a birthday or for your kids, add a couple drops of baby blue or pink food colouring to your glaze!
Can I Make These Keto Birthday Cake Fat Bombs With Coconut Flour Instead of Almond Flour?
- Yes, you can make these with coconut flour (although, I recommend almond flour if you can get your hands on it/do not have an allergy!) Instead of using 3/4 cup of almond Flour, you can replace it with 4 tbsp or 28g of coconut flour (add another 1/2-1 tbsp if the batter isn't thick enough).

Storage Instructions For Low Carb Birthday Cake Balls
- Store these Keto Birthday Cake Balls in ziplock or airtight container in the freezer between layers of wax our parchment paper once the glaze has set.
- You can also store them in the fridge for a softer texture (although, I recommend freezing them to preserve them longer, then letting them thaw in the fridge instead)
