Have you ever gotten frustrated because as much as you love the keto way of eating.. you can’t help but feel just a little jealous when you see someone eating a delicious sausage breakfast sandwich with that nice buttery biscuit on top..Sure you could just eat the sausage, but what fun is that? That’s no breakfast sandwich.
Personally, I think anyone on a keto diet should not have to feel deprived. That’s the ultimate goal of my blog and ALL of the recipes I create. They all are based off treats and meals that I enjoyed before keto and plan to CONTINUE to enjoy but with some minor changes and alterations ;).
I cannot put into words how obsessed I am with this recipe. This is hands-down the BEST KETO MEAL I have ever, EVER, prepared myself. Heck, maybe even the best MEAL I’ve ever prepared myself. I’d eat this over any typical high-carb pasta dish anyday. If you make anything on my blog, let it be this. Continue reading “KETO BEEF STROGANOFF WITH NOODLES!”→
These scones are inspired by a certain French bakery I used to work at. We baked bacon cheddar onion scones off daily and they were alway one of my favourites. This low-carb version is so close to the original, it’s hard to believe they are healthy! Anyways..I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I am honestly so impressed with how SIMPLE these keto cinnamon sugar donuts are to make, yet how perfect they turn out every time!
This recipe is ideal for 1-2 people. These sugar free donuts are not only tasty but they are very filling and packed with protein and fibre to keep you full for hours!
Donuts are typically a long process of waiting for the dough to rise, frying them, etc. These thankfully make the process much easier and literally only take 10mins!
Eat them alone or share them with a friend, either way they are the perfect single serve portion size.
Keto Cinnamon Sugar Donut Ingredients:
Almond & Coconut Flour – I use the Kirkland Costco brand of almond flour (I buy it in bulk on Amazon or at Costco itself occasionally) and this brand of coconut flour for this recipe. As I’ve noted in many of my past recipes, the brand of almond and coconut flour can affect the final outcome of the recipe because absorbency can vary depending on how the flour has been processed.
Vital Wheat Gluten – If you have questions about why I include this ingredient, I wrote an entire article on what it is and why I use Vital Wheat Gluten on my keto diet! I also included where to buy it, how many carbs it contains..and how to use it in different kinds of baking.
Tools I used to Make Low Carb Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
– Low Carb Substitution Guide – This is totally optional but if you like my recipes, I now have a $5 guide available with all of the substitutions I use to create every recipe on my site. You can use this to convert old traditional recipes and create new keto recipes! You can purchase it here and/or read more if you are interested. 🙂 I appreciate your support so much guys!
– Nutritional Food Scale – AKA my best friend. This little buddy has been with me for over 4 years and never fails. Perfect measurements and only needs the batteries replaced maybe once a year!
Keto Cinnamon Sugar Donuts Tips
– If you find your donut batter too try, you can always add a tiny bit more sour cream
–These are best served warm but you can always store them for later in an air-tight container between layers of wax paper in the freezer.
This is a super simple recipe that honestly does not take much time to make! It’s the perfect portion size for a small after-dinner treat or a sweet addition to your daily breakfast. They store easily and taste even BETTER the next day! Continue reading “Low-Carb Mini Double Chocolate Muffins”→
Honestly I am not sure why I didn’t post this recipe sooner! I eat this almost weekly and it’s one of my favourite simple meals! It’s so filling and delicious, I don’t feel like I am missing out at all when I eat this awesome dinner. It’s better than TACOS. I’d never thought I would say that but yes I prefer this salad to regular tacos! It’s also high protein and lower in carbs. If you love mexican food and tacos as much as I do then you are sure to love this dish… Take me to the recipe!
Lately I have been eating hummus like a mad women. Everyday when I get home from school I eat what seems like an endless amount of carrots and cauliflower with my spicy chipotle hummus. I swear, you’d better not come near me when I am eating my hummus because I WON’T share. I love that stuff. But..what happens when I run out of hummus half-way through the week and am frantically searching for a substitute?! Yup, I had to make this dill dip. Did I mention dill is one of my favourite seasonings? I love love dill pickle popcorn and dill pickle egg whites (yes I love dill pickle egg whites, call me weird). So what better way to have dill then in a delicious veggie dip. It tastes almost like sour-cream and onion dip! It is very low-fat and takes only seconds and a few simple ingredients to make. Take me to the recipe!
