Keto Bars Review

Keto Bars Review

Hey guys! I'm super excited to share this Keto Bars review today.

If you've been looking for a keto snack bar that both tastes good AND is nutritionally on-point as well, then read on..

*Please Note: The following is a sponsored post and contains some affiliate links but the opinions and views expressed are all my own.

(I also recorded a review in video format if you are someone who'd rather watch than read!)

Most bars on the market today contain hidden sugars or are sweetened with sucralose.

Not to mention if you find one that doesn't actually contain added sugars or sucralose… it usually tastes like a piece of cardboard (if we're being honest).

Now over here at MouthwateringMotivation, we have no room for cardboard-tasting snacks.

Everything I promote on this blog is geared towards my ultimate belief…

..that keto does NOT have to be boring and tasteless!

Keto should be fun, tasty, healthy and delicious.

..and that's exactly what Keto Bars embodies with their variety of fun bars and flavours.

Keto Bars are:

  • Gluten-Free
  • Dairy-Free
  • Have No Added Sugars
  • Soy-Free
  • Have No Fiber Syrups

So if they are free of all of these things..what DO they contain?

Well let me just read you the ingredients for the chocolate peanut butter flavour…

“Contains: Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Coconut, Erythritol, Water, Salt, Stevia”

That's LITERALLY IT.

How many bars can you name that have less than 10 total ingredients.. and not only that, but ones you can actually pronounce?

Not many.

All of their bars are like this and offer just:

  • 3 NET carbs per bar (*The chocolate covered strawberry has 5 NET carbs)
  • Anywhere from 6-8g of protein
  • 18-21g of fat
  • 6-7g of fibre

Amazing. Seriously. You can't get much better than those stats (trust me, with all my baking and recipe creation…I KNOW).

So now what you've all been waiting for…

WHAT ABOUT THE KETO BARS TASTE?!

Well let me go through bar by bar and explain my thoughts..

I'm going to start with my favourite first!

1. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Keto Bar

Alright I've got to be honest. Even when I first received the bars and had yet to try them..I almost already knew this would end up being my favourite.

I am a sucker for bars with freeze-dried fruit added to them.

I also LOVE chocolate covered strawberries…

This met all of my expectations and more.

This bar is soft, super easy to bite and chew (un-like some other well-known bars).

It's got a nice rich chocolately flavour but the strawberry pieces really stand out against it! They didn't cheap out, theirs a ton of strawberry pieces throughout the bar.

I've noticed with all the bars, you are can feel the shredded coconut at the end of each bite as it makes you chew slightly longer. I actually love this because I love coconut first off, but secondly, it gives the bar some hardiness so you don't down it in 0.05 seconds!

Even if you don't like coconut, you should still try these bars as you don't really taste it. It's just their to add some texture and as a binder.

I also really loved this specific flavour as it was created with the help of KetoConnect authors/youtubers Matt and Megha who are an awesome influence in the keto community.

Sadly as of current this bar is sold out..but if you can get your hands on it, I HIGHLY suggest you do-so. It's great. *THIS FLAVOUR JUST BECAME AVAILABLE AGAIN as of Jan. 1st 2020*

2. Chocolate Peanut Butter Keto Bar

Again, the texture is soft but just firm enough to hold together well. I love biting into these bars.. (as weird as that sounds).

I don't know what it is but it's like these Keto Bars have the perfect thickness to them and the fact that you can't really classify the bar as soft or a hard texture bar is really cool. It's a perfect in-between.

This flavour in particular is great if you are a peanut butter lover! It's a nice blend between chocolate and peanut flavour and the chewiness from the coconut at the end makes this bar a nice filling snack!

3. Dark Chocolate Mint Keto Bar

I won't go over texture as it's the same as mentioned above!

This bar is perfect if you are a mint lover (LIKE ME!). It's not a super strong mint flavour and the chocolate compliments it nicely.

I did notice in all of the bars, they are slightly saltier than your average bar but I actually enjoyed this! I personally really like salt and on a keto diet you are typically in need of more salt due to a loss in electrolytes..so these bars are a nice pick-me-up!

(Also don't get me wrong, the saltiness is not overwhelming and I think it actually is there to enhance the flavours of each bar).

4. Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Keto Bar

This flavour is very similar to the peanut butter flavour but a bit of a darker chocolate flavour just as it is described! I didn't get a strong almond flavour..but then again, I bake with almond flour 24/7 so I'm probably immune at this point, haha.

But nonetheless it still is tasty and I'll definitely be bringing these to work on a regular basis as my daily sweet treat!

To Sum Things Up

Overall, if you are looking for a quick, healthy, as-close-to-whole-foods-as-possible kind of keto treat that still TASTES DELICIOUS. Then I'd recommend ordering some of these bars when you get a chance!

You can order them directly from the Keto Bars website here:

KetoBars.com

OR

You can order from Amazon if you'd prefer.

Either way, I hope you guys try these out soon and let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below!
