Low Carb Fish Tacos With Cabbage Slaw

Low Carb Fish Tacos With Cabbage Slaw

These Low Carb Fish Tacos With Cabbage Slaw are delicious!

This is an easy keto dinner that I'd been putting off for a while because I never thought that keto fish tacos could live up to my favourite traditional fish tacos… but man I was wrong.

To make these I first made a simple cabbage slaw using olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper.

For the fish I pan fried haddock with some olive oil and spices.

For the low carb tacos, I used the Flat Out Wraps. I used their mini “Fold It” version of the 5 grain flax flavour to get two small tacos but these are higher in carbs (10g for 2 “tacos”). So I'd recommend using one of their carb down wraps, and slicing it in half or making one giant taco instead if you want to keep the carbs down (no pun intended). For one whole carb down wrap, it's just 7 NET carbs.

If you don't want to use these wraps, you can make these simple 3 ingredient keto tortillas instead which are even lower in NET carbs and taste delicious!

Then for the sauces, I spread a thin layer of tartar sauce on the base of my wrap. On top of that I added the cabbage slaw, chunks of ripe avocado, the fish and then for the topping I mix together dijon mustard with mayo to add a nice extra flavour profile.

Finally I top them with a touch of pico de Gallo or salsa (and if you're a little crazy, then cilantro as well, LOL.. can you tell I'm not a fan?).

These are so good! Plus they are not at all hard to make. You really only have to cook the fish, everything else is very simple.

To really send these over the top, you can even fry your fish using a keto fish batter recipe like this one.
