Keto Philly Cheese Steak Stir Fry

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium green pepper cut into thin slices
  • 1 small onion also cut into thin slices
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 400 g ~ 1lb thinly sliced, cooked sirloin steak (I use the Lou's Philly Style Shaved Steak packaged meat for this, it has a few carbs but it adds so much flavour!)
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • 2 medium zucchinis spiralized (you can use a peeler and peel thin slices if you do not have a spiralizer
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese


  • Heat a skillet with the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the onions, peppers and garlic and lightly sauté, covered, stirring every now and then until softened.
  • Uncover and add the meat to the pan along with your zucchini noodles and turn the heat to high.
  • Stir everything to warm the meat and cook the zucchini noodles (about 1-2min). Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Next turn down the heat and place your provolone slices on top and cover until melted. (I actually just broke mine up and stirred them in but you can put them on top to make it more visually appealing when serving! lol).
  • Serve warm or keep in a sealed plastic tupperware container in the fridge for later!


Tips For Making Keto Philly Cheese Steak Stir Fry

  • This is a great way to use up leftover steak.
  • You could even add mushrooms or roasted red peppers to this stir fry if you'd like.
  • If you don't want to use zucchini noodles, you can try something like low carb hearts of palm angel hair noodles.
  • This also goes well with many different cheeses. Try swiss or havarti to switch it up!

  • Food Scale (This one is the BEST, I know you all are probably sick of me talking about it in my blog posts but it seriously is the best food scale you can buy. As a food blogger I've had many fail me over the years but this one never has! It's lasted me the past 6 years and somehow I've only replaced the batteries twice (insane I know). It also has programable nutritional information so you can see how many carbs/fats/proteins custom foods have as well as a library of common foods already programmed into it. It also doesn't shut off in 2 seconds like some other scales do, leaving you wondering if you put the correct amount in your bowl.
  • Zucchini Spiralizer (I use this one)
  • Spatula
  • Chef Knife
  • Large Non-Stick Frying Pan (I love this brand! If you want a pan that works like the commercials, I highly recommend this one)
