HEALTHY Maple-Apple-Bacon-Chocolate Oatmeal


Sweet Maple Bacon Oatmeal!

Yes, you read that right. I dared to do the insane and put the words “healthy, chocolate & bacon” all in one sentence. Actually I put them all in one bowl of super awesome oatmeal. If you are just crazy enough to try this recipe, I guarantee you will be in for a great surprise. This oatmeal packs wonderful salty and sweet flavour and will leave you wanting more. Don't be fooled by the ingredients, this oatmeal is actually surprisingly healthy too!

Ingredients:
-1/3 cup dry quick oats
-scant 2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
-1/4 tsp vanilla extract
-1/2 tsp cinnamon (or more to taste)
-2 drops stevia sweetener (or another sweetener to taste)
-1 slice of cooked(still warm!)Canadian Bacon, broken into pieces (I used the 85% less fat kind, 50cals a slice)
-1 tsp semi-sweet enjoy life mini chocolate chips(could use regular mini chocolate chips or pieces of broken dark chocolate!)
-1/4-1/2 a chopped and peeled apple
-Low-sugar or real maple syrup for drizzling

Directions:
Combine the oats and almond milk and cook on high for 2 min. once finished, stir in vanilla, cinnamon and stevia. Top the oats with bacon, chocolate and apple, sprinkle again with cinnamon and optional extra sweetener. Drizzle with syrup and enjoy!
